Meet Lynn Rodgie-
This month, the woman holding the bag is Lynn Rodgie, an artist who lives and works in the heart of the Scottish Borders.
Known for her fabulous smile and positive outlook on life and art, Lynn creates expressive paintings in traditional oils, infused with a dynamic and contemporary energy. Her work is celebrated for its vibrant colour, rich texture and ability to capture the beauty and atmosphere of the world around her.
Deeply influenced by her artistic father, Lynn has exhibited with a number of respected galleries across Scotland and beyond. Alongside exhibiting her work, she creates from her village studio and gallery space, where visitors can see her latest paintings and enjoy a chat about art and creativity.
As Lynn says:
"I create and exhibit my work directly from my village studio and gallery space. It allows me to share what I do and have lovely conversations with people who visit."
Lynn's passion for colour and texture, craftsmanship and creative expression makes her a perfect choice to feature in this month's "Who Is the Woman Holding the Bag?" series.
I asked Lynn -
What are your Favourite Colours ?- “ My favourite are blue and orange, I use rhem a lot together in my Paintings”
Do you drink tea or coffee? “ I drink tea at home and coffee when I am out”
What can't you live without in your handbag?- “So I probably can’t live without my notebook and pen. Lists on lists and the odd wee doodle”
I chose Lynn for this month's feature because she's one of those people who radiates positivity. Her love of colour, creativity and Scottish craftsmanship makes her a perfect ambassador for a Wee Fantoosh tartan bag.
